It didn't, but I appreciate the effort.The material is like the superhero of fabrics – it repels water with the determination of a cat avoiding a bath. I spilled my soda on it just to test, and it rolled right off like it had better places to be. My girlfriends was astonished, and I felt like a wizard wielding the power of liquid defiance.Now, the real fun began when we decided to use it for sexy time. A lot more acceptable than putting down a towel, or a shower curtain/dropcloth. Very soft, and comfortable. I would not use it as a regular bedding cover, as the waterproof membrane does not allow the blanket to breathe and retains sweat under it. But hey, who are we kidding? This is a splash pad for those who are more fluid in their intimacy. For that, it's great and keeps the sheets dry for bedtime. Certainly has increased our activities and the intensity. Two thumbs, way up!

I like this blanket for several reasons but mainly for how huge it is. It's also really heavy weight and is nice and warm. Its water resistantance is useful if you have a crazy dog who also finds also finds it really comfortable and has made it their favorite place to sleep. Keeping it clean and dog hair free can be a bit on the challenging side since the fabric tends to be a super dog hair magnet type of fabric, and letting it build up can leave you with quite the dog fur mess to have figure out how to deal with. I found the best way to remove a large amount of dog hair is to use a mini shop vac with the brush attachment. This makes it pretty easy to clean and after a good washit's good as new.

We have a blue heeler pup and he’s a stone cold biter. the blankets (bought two) ate used for our sectional couch since the little guy has figured out how to climb onto the couch but not get down. so, he’s had a few accidents on the blanket that were nicely pooled and easily cleaned. moreover, he loves to bite feet, hands, legs once he’s up, and it turns out the blanket is super tough and comes in handy as a puppy teething blocker, so worth the cost in my opinion.

Wow this blanket is soooo soft! My partner and I sometimes get a little wild in bed and leave a wet spot. No one wants to sleep in the wet spot. I have a German Shepherd Dog mix who sheds like it's required to keep his heart beating. I wanted a large blanket I could lay out over the chaise lounge for him and not worry about anything. This is working for that purpose. For everyone not doing the quick math, 80" is over 6.5 feet. it's a 6.5'x6.5' square. That's plenty big for our dog (or your bed activities). It's soft, the stitching seems to be solid, and it washes well. What more do I need? Or, what more do you need to protect your bed from your "sacred juices"?

I am impressed with the the quality of this splash blanket. I have another similar splash blanket from a competitor and this one is by far superior quality! It's soft, and cozy I use it to just snuggle with to stay warm when I'm not using it to play with my partner. It definitely is splash proof and the red really sets the mood! This is a true waterproof blanket. I poured a gallon of water in the center to see if any moisture would seep through. To my surprise, no moisture made it through this blanket. I even left it for 30 minutes to make sure and no dampness was felt on my bed at all! My older dog likes to lay on my bed. She is a nervous pee'er. If someone new happens to come inside or the door bell rings, she will sometimes pee or dribble. This blanket has saved me from having to change the entire bed. Good protector for sofa and bed. I use it mainly as a sofa pad for my 95 year old father. Being waterproof, it helps protect the sofa from accidents. The velvet and fleece also gives extra warmth and cushion to my father's tush. I previously purchased a cheaper one and after a few washes, it no longer had the waterproof protection. In the description, this one states it can absorb up to 30 ounces of liquid. So far, it has been tested and has been washed several times and has not disappointed.

Great do yourself a favor and to keep it pristine if you use it fir it's intent take it to the cleaners and it will remain to look like top end bedding only with no prep work to slow things :) happy bedding

I use it on top of our comforter to try and protect the bed from the dogs. It does an excellent job keeping liquid on top so you can soak it up. Nothing is going to get through this. It doesn't have any plastic barrier inside so you don't get that crinkling sound. It doesn't collect the pet hair either so it always looks clean. Easy to throw in the wash. Definitely recommend.

I got this blanket as a way to protect my bed from my dogs. After having to wash my comforter for the second time in a week thanks to muddy paws and a dog who likes to eat grass, I rage-ordered this in an effort to protect my bed. So far, it's working well!As advertised, this is waterproof. I was initially skeptical, but it really doesn't soak up water like a traditional blanket. Water tends to bead up on it and slide off. While it does collect hair and dirt like most fleece, it does do an excellent job at preventing it from reaching whatever it's protecting thanks to the second layer.My main con on this is that it's not quite big enough to provide adequate protection for a king sized bed. It's just large enough to completely cover the top of the mattress- there isn't enough material to hang down the sides to protect them as well. However, in the world of cons, this is minor enough that I didn't feel it was serious enough to factor into the rating.Overall, if you have pets, this is a must-have to protect your furniture! As advertised, it is waterproof enough to protect whatever is underneath without preventing it from being easily washed and dried.

I've been reading some reviews of this item, and wondering what people were expecting. When I read the description and saw "waterproof blanket for adults" I knew just what they meant. This is not a blanket to sleep on long-term, it will not shed water, it absorbs it and keeps it from seeping through the other side. It is made, I believe, for short-term use, to protect a bed, couch or other surface during the making of the love. The beast with two backs. You get my drift. And... we love it! We've had others that were maybe more "luxurious" as far as the feel of the fabric goes, but they have been small and don't provide the coverage a busy couple requires. This thing covers everything - a King sized bed, a couch, a table... again, you get my drift. We have found it to be 100% waterproof, soft and comfortable, easy to wash (though drying takes multiple cycles), and excellent for coverage so we don't have to worry. Very highly and happily recommended!

Amazing blanket! Im very impressed with this blanket. Not sure how it works, but it really is water proof like its stated in the ad . Its kinda crazy, you can see the water drops just sit on the blanket and not be absorbed. It also warm and very comfortable and feel like a blanket. Its also doubled sided which is pretty nice.

Fortunately I haven't had to put the waterproof part to the test yet. I think this is an attractive, warm blanket. It feels heavy and comforting. The gray color goes well with any setting. My rating is 5 stars for its warmth, looks, and being waterproof.

Gorgeous teal color on one side and yellowy color on the reverse side. The fabric is soft like microsuede or microfleece. You can feel the waterproof layer, but it is not "crunchy" or noisy at all. I washed this blanket on cold with a double rinse cycle. It needed an extra spin cycle before going into the dryer on low. The "color catcher sheet" I'd tossed in was mildly discolored, so be sure to wash it on its own the first time or two.

I use this as my regular bed covering and web I discover a problem, it's isolated to the blanket.It goes right into the clothes washer when it is dirty and dries quickly in the clothes dryer on low. Comes out clean every time.

Blanket feels soft and has a decent thickness to it. you can feel/hear the plastic inside it. But for the most part liquid rolls off it unless left on it for a long time.Picked this up to use as a blanket at concerts in the fall/spring when the ground is usually wet.Confident it'll do the job much better than a beach blanket or something else like that!

This is a quality blanket. I was afraid that it might have an obvious waterproof layer (like a rubberized layer or something), but it does not have anything like that. It's just a blanket made of soft fibers that also happen to be waterproof. I'm so happy with it.I got this because I have an animal that is unexpectedly getting sick on my bed and I grew tired of changing my bedding (including the waterproof mattress pad at the bottom) late at night when I discover it.

The aquamarine blue color is quite pretty. Love that part of it. This is definitely a blanket for colder months. Gets warm quickly. Seems to absorb and retain heat well. Can certainly see the waterproof factor in it. Overall, it's a pretty decent little blanket. No real issues I can see except don't use it in summer if you hate the heat. Recommended!

I drink a lot of water and tea in bed. While I do try to keep my drinks in sealable containers, the seals don’t always hold, and maybe I’m not always great at closing the lids, and… well, there’s another spot on the mattress protector and another stain on the blanket. So anything helps. This seems to do a good job of repelling water, and it’s easier to fold up and stuff in the washing machine than so many other options.I love that this huge blanket can serve as an underlayer for cold weather as well as just a massive fleece cover on top, but you do end up aware of TPU layer when you move around. It doesn’t bother me (if anything, it’s oddly soothing) but you might notice.

The waterproof blanket is a good size & covers the whole bed or sofa. It is soft & warm which I think I will love more in the winter time when it's colder. The blanket material feels like a microfiber fleece which is not my favorite to touch. I don't have animals, but if you do heads up this is the material that hair really sticks to. The teal color is really pretty & the blanket has minimal crinkle noise when on. Just as described in listing.

How much you like this blanket will really depend on what you use it for. First and foremost, this blanket is ideal for protecting beds or furniture (like a couch) which could be damaged by liquid. This blanket will absorb whatever gets spilled or leaked onto it. It has an inner barrier which prevents the liquid from penetrating the blanket. Having said that, if it gets wet you will have to wash/dry it. Water does not just get whisked off the surface.

I know this is meant for adult activities but I’m using it for incontinent dogs. I feel like it handles that turn it’ll handle most adult activities just fine. And it has! It’s been waterproof, very soft and not noisy. My only issue is that it slides around on the bed pretty easily but that’s not a huge problem. I like the color, it def does not scream sex blanket so I can fold it up and leave on the end of my bed without feeling like I have to explain anything. So if you’re discreet; works for that too. If your not; cool, it’s still a nice blanket for a variety of moisture related activity.

I haven’t had to test the “waterproof-ness” of it yet, though I can say, it is incredibly thick, almost like a moving blanket, so I can imagine that it probably does work as well as it says.

Great for keeping the mattress clean and dry. Whether for intimate moments, having a fun food and drink on the bed, and can be used for camping travels. I'll be updating my review with further pictures on my bed and I'll give more details of what I think. So far the material is soft, warm, fuzzy and great in quality.

I have an odd-sized bed (alaskan king) that we use for co-sleeping with our toddler. Clearly, we can't use a standard mattress protector for our bed, but this one works better anyways due to its absorbency. We just started potty training and this is the perfect solution to put underneath the fitted sheet. If you're looking for an absorbent waterproof blanket, this one works and it works well! I actually greatly prefer it to the typical mattress protectors I've used in the past.
