There are more expensive pillows that do less to support your head. I am happy I got this one. It's difficult for me to fall asleep on a flight but it's much more bearable with this pillow.

This has been a game changer for flights. I can fall asleep and feel more rested on my flights and in a car. Love it!!

The best and only travel "pillow" you will ever need! One can finally sleep while inflight without bobbing their head!

I’m traveling. I don’t want to carry a big fluffy neck pillow, only to use on the plane. This pillow is the best compromise on comfort and size.

Sleep is extremely important to me, especially while traveling, so this comes on every trip with me if there's a long or overnight flight involved.
DCRav
This thing is ridiculously comfortable.

I can totally understand why this product would be a hit or miss, but it helped me fall asleep for the first time in along haul flight - so I strongly recommend it!It really does help stop your head from rolling around, and that seems to make a world of difference. The price feels a bit dear for what you get, but it does feel like a quality product.Definitely recommend trying if you haven’t had any luck with traditional U shaped pillows!

The Pillow arrived on time for my trip. It was great to be able to wear the pillow and position my head and neck in a more comfortable position. I would recommend the Pillow for long trips but can also be used around the house to take the strain off your neck.

Ideal for travelling, product provides support in all the right places. A step up from the ordinary.

I love the way this pillow wraps around my neck. I haven't had a chance to fly with it yet. I used on our last car trip and it was wonderful. We have a red eye coming up and I cant wait to use it.
Andrea P McEneny
Soft, adjustable. Window sleeping- any sleeping has always been a challenge. Looked at many models. Have used this in the car & on planes.Glade I purchased it.

This neck pillow is the best! It really supports your neck and for a 8 hour flight to the UK it was perfect!! Soft and easily stored in my bag!

So far the product quality feels and looks great. Updated reviews to come as more future trips are logged using it.

Got this over recommendation from a friend that flies a lot. Never had a pillow like this before so I was skeptical about how much it would really help. Surprised that immediately after putting it on, felt the weight of my head lifted and it allowed me to sleep within a few minutes. Really did not expect it to work as well as it does.
JaKay
It is very well made and I like that it has a place for your chin. It is just too big for my neck so I am returning it.

This product is exactly what I was looking for in a travel pillow. My neck always hurts after I sleep on planes and in cars so this has solved that issue. It’s very comfortable and breathable.

I bought this travel pillow because I’ve read the reviews, and I noticed that there is an outstanding quality to it and being able to take a nap while traveling is a plus with me. The features on this pillow is that it’s very durable. There’s a soft comfort when you press it against your jawline. I feel that when you nap you can probably nap a good eight hours on it.

Am planning a couple of long haul flights this year and was looking for a better neck pillow. I haven’t flown with it yet, but it’s smaller and lighter than my old pillow. It easily packs into my carry on and even gives me back a little room. Critical for a 2 week trip with only carry ons.I’ve tested it a bit on my couch to see if it will work as I hope. So far, it’s much more supportive and I’m not getting that familiar crink in my neck. I’m also getting used to changing positions with it and once you get the knack of it, it really is easy to switch from one side of the neck to the other. No more head bobs and no fear of inadvertently resting on the poor person next to me on the plane.Looking forward to using it on my next trip.

Can't wait to be able to sleep on long haul flights or drives fro that matter.

It is a great travel pillow. No head bobbing on the airplane!

Comfortable enough to wear around the house. Yet to test it on flight.

For those of us with long necks, it’s great. I like that it goes around the whole neck with great support. I also bought one for my son, he can’t wait to use it on his next trip to Asia. My daughter in law received one too, she really likes how it folds into the bag and it has support in front too, not like the old u designs.

This was good for a window seat and when sitting next to my boyfriend, as I could lean on his shoulder. He found it a weird shape but it kept him from loud-snoring on one leg of our flights.
nina
Used it on my flight to Spain. Very comfortable. Better than just neck pillow. Specially for side sleeping.
Blissfullotus
This pillow is very cozy, if in the right position it provides good support. I hope it doesn't shift during the flight.

Loved it! Excellent project

Bought this daughter who is a college athlete for all those long bus rides.

It was soft and comfortable flying to and from Hawaii. I also used it as a passenger in an uncomfortable car seat, driving cross country. So it was well worth the money for how it helped.

I have used this pillow on several long trips this summer and have never regretted buying it. Even though it is a bit bulky the comfort it provides is worth it.
BOB
This is the only travel pillow I have used that actually does what is promised and is so versatile that I am a repeat customer. True, it is a bit bulky to pack but it works, and that is what I want from a travel pillow.

I have NEVER been able to sleep on planes. I could never get comfortable. So I decided I would give this pillow - which I thought was so pricey bc it’s like 2x the price of all the other pillows. Well, turns out it was worth it. While not the “cure all”, this pillow helped so so much that I actually was able to sleep 1-2 hours (against the window with this pillow) on a recent domestic flight. The weird shape really does work! It reminds me of an elephant trunk. I was desperate to find a sleeping pillow for air travel bc I have a 22 hour flight coming up in December. I feel better now knowing I can actually sleep with this pillow !

This is pillow is must have for long flights. Trust me.

This pillow is so soft and so comfy! I bought it for my trip to the Azores and when hubby saw it he wanted one too so we bought another. It is super soft and firm enough that your head is supported but still comfortable. Also it comes with a convenient bag you can strap to your carry on. The only thing I would change is that I wish the ear part was taller.

I have a neck and spine that are compromised and they don't tolerate a standard bed pillow very well. I had settled on a cylindrical bolster pillow for under my neck as the most comfortable option, but they slowly flatten and don't provide the support that I need. An upcoming trip gave me the justification for paying the luxury purchase price of the Ostrichpillow. I used the Ostrich on overseas flights to and from Europe and the pillow supported my neck and chin very well and allowed me to actually get some sleep on the plane. I have been an international traveling worker for 30 years, and I never bothered to haul a travel pillow with me, as the options that I had tried didn't really seem to help much. The Ostrich was exceptional. It was worth the annoyance of having to carry the extra bulk. I wore it around my neck in its pouch, keeping my hands free for luggage while getting through airports. Then the pillow replaced my hotel pillows and eventually my home pillow as well. At home, I use it unrolled and I can find different thicknesses, all with excellent support, that can enable me to find a comfortable sleeping position for my neck no matter what. I am very, very pleased with the versatility of this pillow for both travel and home use. My partner, who has a serious dropped neck condition, did not find the Ostrich as comfortable. His chin nearly touches his chest and the bulk of the Ostrich in front was too much...he couldn't tip his head back comfortably to allow for the pillow. The thickness under the chin was exactly what I needed to hold my head in a comfortable position without allowing my chin to drop. So individuals will have to evaluate the product according to their own anatomy. But I am totally thrilled with this product both for travel and for home.

traveled about 10 hours from US, Minnesota to Helsinki, Finland in plane. Traveled with a small support dog. I was very stress about 2.13188 kilo dog, but I was able to rest comfortably with my J-pillow supporting my head and neck. I believe that my being relaxed helped my dog relax more being in a foreign vehicle that made a lot of strange noises. By the last four hours of the trip the dog was sleeping on my lap, as well I was sleeping also. I arrived in Helsinki, Finland rested and refreshed. Thank you for your wonderfully designed pillow( and also the snap that clipped to my backpack in the airports very nicely.

Love this pillow. I have a really difficult time sleeping sitting up and have tried many travel pillows through the years and this one is finally it! Its bulky to travel with but I can deal with that knowing that even if I dont get a window seat I can still get a little shut eye sitting up. It has many different ways to use it, I liked the position that has the chin support. Unfortunately mine came with a little tear in it where the seam is sewn together but I think I can fix that. I'm going to buy one for my husband now because he saw how comfy I was that he wanted to use mine on our return flight.

The pillow is super comfortable! I’m not sure what exactly it is made out of but its very soft and feels like memory foam. It definitely gives you a nice balance of comfort and support. It’s not too soft where your head will sink in and then have a painful neck when you lift your head up. I like the overall design not a fan of the light grey as I have a tendency to spill on things haha. Also public areas aren’t always the cleanest so i get a little nervous using this anywhere that isn’t my home or car. The fit is pretty good i like that the velcro makes it a little more accommodating to fit. I do kind of feel like the pillow is super thick in the front so it does make the fit a little awkward imo. I like the travel bag it comes with, just an extra step to keep it clean which I appreciate. One of the cooler things is that that the sleeve for this pillow unzips so i can wash it, which is something thoughtful for the company to do, so A+ on that!

I like the pillow a lot actually. I highly reccomend it for travel, the design is very good. I've never slept this well during travel. The reason I took off two stars is because its already starting to come apart... I've used it on two trips, there and back, and the bottom of the stitching is starting to fall apart, I'm afraid it will fully fall apart in a few more uses. At $25 cost, I would hope for a product that lasts longer. I plan to contact the manufacturer to ask if I can get a replacement.UPDATE: After contacting the manufactuerer, they simply sent me a new pillow and a small additional item as compensation. I am very impressed with this customer service, and restore my original view of the product as absolutely fantastic in terms of design and use. Highly reccomend this pillow if you travel and like to sleep during.

I purchased this pillow and travel blanket for an especially long trip to Europe (traveling on my partner's frequent flyer miles, I saved money but had to make three connections, with over 24 hours of travel time) and though I have flown trans-Pacific flights many, many times, I've always felt that the minimal comfort travel pillows provide doesn't justify their bulk. I still believe this is true for most pillows, but the J Pillow is an exception! It is the first travel pillow that actually supports my head enough to be comfortable! I've never liked the C-shaped pillows that fit around the neck - they push my head forward uncomfortably without providing much support. I own a Travelrest cross-body inflatable travel pillow and found it to be more comfortable than the others but it was cumbersome to switch sides, and I still didn't feel enough support for my chin, and the Travelrest would also tend to slide out from under my head as I slept and pushed down on it. I was a little skeptical about the J Pillow's promises, and watched lots of videos and testimonials - what convinced me was a video review by a woman who wore it on the train to work. She kept hooking it around her neck with a blissful look as she talked, and she couldn't stop touching it. Her affection for it was obvious! I purchased it, as I said, for this exceptionally long trip, but didn't expect more from it than to make an excruciating experience a little less uncomfortable. What a surprise I got! It was so comfortable that I slept like a baby despite the many layovers. It proved its worth in middle seats, where I could tuck it under my chin, lean the side of my head against it, and feel as if I was pressed against the bulkhead (without the noise of the engines), all without leaning too far towards my neighbors. It was very easy to switch sides. I used it lying down on one happy segment, and it was equally comfortable when used as a traditional pillow in that position. I ended up carrying it everywhere after I arrived - I used it on the TGV train trips, I used it in bed...the only problem I have with mine is that I've used it so much that I've flattened it out a bit (this includes almost two months of happily using it as my pillow at night, though that is not the J Pillow's intended function). It's easy to wash, and I hope that washing will plump it up again, but it's still firm and full enough to be comfortable on flights. I've used it on many flights since that initial trip, and don't want to travel without it. It's worth toting around the extra bulk, and the snap on the top allows you to snap it to suitcase handles or backpack straps, keeping it off the floors and out of the way. Flight attendants did not, as I feared, count it as additional hand baggage - even on Easyjet. I love this pillow!

I bought this pillow for a recent 10 hr trip and it was fantastic. When I wasn't using it as I headrest, it made a great armrest. Also tried it as a lumbar support which wasn't as successful because it pushed me forward just enough that I was too close to the tray table. When I arrived at my destination it was great additional head support to lie in bed and watch TV.This pillow is covered in soft to the touch fabric and provides excellent neck / head support - and it can be used in a multitude of ways! It washes fine - I put it on the gentle cycle and it came out like new. On the same above mentioned trip, my husband used his blow-up 'U' shaped pillow...think we all know by now those things are a sorry excuse for travel pillows. He kept looking longingly at my 'J' pillow, but I told him "sorry, get your own!"After trying several types of travel pillows my opinion is:- Blow up 'U' pillows: Waste of $5, pushes head forward, no head support- Memory Foam pillow: Waste of $10-$20 - a more comfortable version of a blow up U pillow- Skyrest (sleep forward): Too hard to blow up, too big, too awkward- Travelrest Cross-body blow up: Haven't tried it because it needs a fabric cover (for softness) and the combined price of the pillow + cover is too high.- Cabeau: Haven't tried it because I didn't want to "wear" it, though it looks like it works fine the price was $10 higher J pillow.- J Pillow: Reasonable price, a bit bulky, but smushes up pretty well to tuck it away, able to be used for multiple purposes, great support, soft on the face...would recommend.
